America Continental 2000, Inc., appeals to all the Americans.

April 21st, 2011

America Continental 2000, Inc., appeals to all Americans in order to respond to the recent disasters. The wildfires in Texas and the tornadoes that left destruction in more than 12 states during the last 7 days.

America Continental 2000, Inc., is seeking the support of the community to donate online, with the purpose of sending our dump trucks and loaders to the disaster areas affected by wildfires in Texas and/or tornadoes that have beaten and left destruction in over 12 states in the United States of America.

Texas Wildfires

The exorbitant increases in the fuel prices limits us to mobilize our heavy equipment to disaster areas, and for this reason we appeal to all Americans.

In addition, we need much more equipment. Right now we only have machinery that already has many years of use and would like to replace it by newer equipment and more efficient.

The President and Founder of the NGO, Engineer Raymark Clément also makes an urgent call to the companies and individuals wishing to donate equipment that will help us to provide immediate assistance to all areas affected by last disasters.

It is very important to clarify that we have not forgotten Japan, just the degree of destruction in our own backyard makes us respond in a forceful way.  We are begging for donations from all sectors of the community, said the engineer Clément.

Now is the time to act. It is our responsibility to respond and help those who have lost all their belongings.

A Message from His Majesty The Emperor (March 16, 2011)

March 28th, 2011

I am deeply saddened by the devastating situation in the areas hit by the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake, an unprecedented 9.0-magnitude earthquake, which struck Japan on March 11th. The number of casualties claimed by the quake and the ensuing tsunami continues to rise by the day, and we do not yet know how many people have lost their lives. I am praying that the safety of as many people as possible will be confirmed. My other grave concern now is the serious and unpredictable condition of the affected nuclear power plant. I earnestly hope that through the all-out efforts of all those concerned, further deterioration of the situation will be averted.

Relief operations are now under way with the government mobilizing all its capabilities, but, in the bitter cold, many people who were forced to evacuate are facing extremely difficult living conditions due to shortages of food, drinking water and fuel. I can only hope that by making every effort to promptly implement relief for evacuees, their conditions will improve, even if only gradually, and that their hope for eventual reconstruction will be rekindled. I would like to let you know how deeply touched I am by the courage of those victims who have survived this catastrophe and who, by bracing themselves, are demonstrating their determination to live on.

I wish to express my appreciation to the members of the Self-Defense Forces, the police, the fire department, the Japan Coast Guard and other central and local governments and related institutions, as well as people who have come from overseas for relief operations and the members of various domestic relief organizations, for engaging in relief activity round the clock, defying the danger of recurring aftershocks. I wish to express my deepest gratitude to them.

I have been receiving, by cable, messages of sympathy from the heads of state of countries around the world, and it was mentioned in many of those messages that the thoughts of the peoples of those countries are with the victims of the disaster. These messages I would like to convey to the people in the afflicted regions.

I have been told that many overseas media are reporting that, in the midst of deep sorrow, the Japanese people are responding to the situation in a remarkably orderly manner, and helping each other without losing composure. It is my heartfelt hope that the people will continue to work hand in hand, treating each other with compassion, in order to overcome these trying times.

I believe it extremely important for us all to share with the victims as much as possible, in whatever way we can, their hardship in the coming days. It is my sincere hope that those who have been affected by the disaster will never give up hope and take good care of themselves as they live through the days ahead, and that each and every Japanese will continue to care for the afflicted areas and the people for years to come and, together with the afflicted, watch over and support their path to recovery.

We at the Komatsu Group hereby extend our sincere condolences to the people who have been adversely affected by the earthquake and Tsunami which occurred on March 11, 2011 and to their relatives as well.

At present, while we are working to engage in the maintenance service of construction equipment in operation at the affected areas, we are also offering relief assistance largely in the form of lending our construction equipment, forklift trucks, temporary housing, power generators and other equipment all free of charge. Worth JPY300 million, these equipment and facilities are urgently needed by the concerned municipal governments.

Conditions of the affected areas are deteriorating day by day, and it is projected that reconstruction will take a long period of time. We are anticipating that we will continue to receive requests for equipment from the municipal governments. In light of these conditions, we are going to offer a similar form of assistance, free of charge, worth JPY500 million, in addition to the assistance mentioned above (total assistance in value: JPY800 million). We are determined to continue our group-wide assistance aimed at the reconstruction of the affected areas into the future.

Landslide in northwestern Colombia buries 50 homes

December 6th, 2010

The Associated Press

BELLO, ColombiaA landslide following weeks of drenching rains buried more than 50 homes in northwestern Colombia, killing at least two people and likely leaving dozens trapped beneath mud and rubble, officials said Sunday.

Antioquia state emergency management director John Rendon said two bodies have been recovered and six injured people have been rescued after the mudslide in the Medellin suburb of Bello.

“It was a mass landslide that buried more than 50 homes approximately and we are talking about 40 or 50 people possibly being underneath the rubble,” Rendon said.

Rendon said trained dogs were attempting to locate people beneath tons of sodden earth. Authorities are also trying to get heavy equipment to the scene.

Landslides are common in Colombia’s rugged Andes mountains, and rains have been especially heavy this year. The Red Cross attributes at least 176 deaths this year to the heavy rains.

President Juan Manuel Santos, who toured regions hard-hit by flooding on Sunday, said government was considering declaring a state of emergency in order to levy extraordinary funding to assist flood victims.

The Red Cross says 1,821 homes have been destroyed and another 256,083 damaged.

November 9th, 2010

Demostration pro Dream Act.

Demostration pro Dream Act.

Partido Latinos Unidos

Primera declaración

Latinos Unidos Party

First declaration

New México, New York and New Jersey, Illinois.
